Before i start this post, i must confess i am not this kind of person. But nothing is same. Cheese will daily move from one point to other. Why i said cheese, yesterday when i read "who moved my cheese'', i just went back to my past to think, how many times my cheese moved and weather i was Haw or Hem or mice. With just 4 characters, author talks about so many things about realistic life.
Before i continue, i just want to remained that this post is just a collection books(how it is). When we dream big, we should be in that pace and work hard to achieve that dream. i was lethargic but not now. Those who are preparing for MBA entrance exams, one must realize that it is not the written exam but personality matters in the end. So start building profile from this day. Vocab may be a problem but we are not weak to let go off it. Read news paper(The Hindu) and Bi weekly Frontline magazine. spending 30 mins daily is enough if you are not week in arithmetic.
As far as books are concerned, do not jump to history or economy if you are not a bibliophile. Start with fiction books to get along with it and shift to non fiction after. i am going to share must read books here.
Start with "india Unbound'' by Gurucharan das in non fiction as he elaborates 3 eras till now. Covers india's economy and management. "argumentative indian" by A sen is good for history and culture but arguments are very deep thats how i feel. Motivational point of View "who moved my cheese" is good. Another must read is "to kill a mocking bird" which talks about race in USA. if feel men n women are same then you should read"men are from mars and women are from venus". And jefry archer books related to world war2 are good and others(Paths of Glory).
"animal farm" in which George orwell predicts the fall of Soveit union in his book much before. Other books you can refer are:
"midnight's children" "Kite Rinner" "Pride and Prejudice" "India after gandhi" "Modern makers of india".
Try to complete one book in 2 weeks or so. so that you can cover most of the books. be special from others. And just want to say all the best to those, who are preparing seriously. Be a donkey, work hard to chase CAT.
