We were back
to college after one month. It was early jan so it was cold. Weather was
wintry. Sometimes it used to go below the melting point. Unlike the all other
years, we were not allowed to Rd either. No entry time for fresher. No need to show id card. Seniors used to come
in the night. So many times, I escaped the ragging because of my health
problems. So many times, out of two, one used to lock their door from outside
and then he used to come to the ragging. The other guy should turn up for next
time. Exchanging, what a co-operation. Seniors realised as the strength is
drastically decreasing in the common-room. So a new rule was passed. Nobody
should lock the doors. They should be kept open. One senior used to inspect the
rooms. Sometimes, dudes used to hide in the almaras. If they were caught, more
slaps. Normal life with weekend ragging.
Here comes
my saviour. Not only me, he came to save the lives of 65 (including himself) of
our slavery from the hands of our seniors. Legend. May be god sent him for us. A
great height of 5 feet and great masculine body and A wrist
band made of sacred material, on which different holy symbols carved in proper
way. May be myth was true. When we have troubles, a saviour will come to save
us all. ‘JAI GURUDATTA’
That wasn’t
the first time. I met him so many months back. That POWER in his
eyes attracted my attention. He was in my room. He started a rebellion against the
slavery. Our agony, that he saw with his own eyes though all our hearts. He launched
the rebellion. His name is Praveen. He organized meetings in mess and common
rooms. We all signed on a blank paper against our seniors. His place too had so
many legends in the campus. They were totally unique in every action. They had
a legendry name in the campus too in every batch.
Finally I
was out of my thoughts. Came to real world. Real Praveen was standing behind
me. It’s just a thought/ dream. Like that never happen in the real life. What I
thought about Praveen was totally different from what I saw. We all were
standing on the ground in formals(head down). In front of us, my seniors, because of our
rash actions in the college. it was tuff day. It was 1am in the morning....
